After graduating from Johns Hopkins University with a Masters in Applied Mathematics and Statistics, my passion for teenagers led me to careers as a high school math teacher and YA writer.

I've had the privilege to work with teenagers for the past seventeen years, and they inspire me. Their excitement is contagious, and their outlook on life, a mix of hope and realism, makes me look forward to the future. My goal is to write stories that are relatable, engaging and helpful to them. 

When I'm not driving around my four kids, I love to watch teenage dramas and standup comedians. I currently live near Annapolis, MD.
